Stunning finish on a Mustang Racer in the competition - homemade decals
and a surface like polished glass - only shinier!

Another bumper year at
Telford!
Great weekend - very
tiring, but very enjoyable! Great to meet up with old friends and meet a
host of new! Update today with general images of the show and a few
updates from manufacturers below. I have a large number of photos on the
large scale entries to the competition, as well as those on the Branch
and SIG stands which will follow in the coming days...
So - what was new?
Fisher Model and
Pattern - first of all - what a pleasure it was meeting Paul Fisher
- great guy! On disply on the Milton Keynes stand was a prototype of his
forthcoming Sea Fury T.Mk 20 trainer - another stunning model - with a
racing version due for release at the same time!

MDC - The MDC team were busy -
with the newly release Rufe conversion for the Tamiya Zero and Radu
Brinzans' superb Arado Ar.234B. Hot news - a glazed nose Me 262 bomber
conversion due in the next couple of weeks @ £25 and looking superb - I
now know what to do with my Trumpeter kit!

Radu's
latest masterpiece - Me262A-2a/U4 Jet Bomber

Panther Model Club - The irrepressible SIG member Roy Philpot had
some wares on display on the SIG stand - with the Sea Vixen and Firefly
kits creating a lot of interest. Next on the list? How about a Gannet!
Roy can now also do Trumpeter and Roden jkits at discounted rates -
contact him directly for details.

Heritage Aviation - believe it, or not, but they had a new 1:32 Avro
Vulcan B2 for sale on their stand - £300 seemed a lot for something that
looked a little crude and I'm not convinced about some of the shapes -
but I saw at least one happy customer leaving the exhibition hall with a
rather large box!

Montex - Cammett had the new resin Gloster Gamecock for sale at
£79.99 alongside their recently released Boomerang - and a fine model it
looks too - see images below. I just need to save up some pennies and I
may be able to do a build review. News - a Hawker Fury is due early
2008.

In addition they had
the newly released Fw 190 conversions - 190A-3 and 190A-4 conversions
for the ever popular Hasegawa kits.

For more info visit
the Cammett Website.
Redux - although not exhibiting - we did see the new Redux P-47D
Razorback on sale - with the shock realisation that they have apparently
ditched their original mouldings that were seen as test shots a couple
of years ago and are re-boxing the excellent Trumpeter kit with new
decals and resin wheels.

Revell - the Revell stand had the re-released Matchbox Spitfire
F22/24 on display - along with the D version of Hasegawas Ju 87. Also on
display was the forthcoming Piper Cub - looking very good indeed!

HPH - Courtesy of Radu Brinzan we were treated to a sighting of a
stunning resin kit of the
