Picked
up from the manufacturer at last weekends Scale Modelworld, we have a new
release in 1:32 scale from well known (in the smaller scales at least) company
Arba.
This
conversion is designed to be used with the Hasegawa Messerschmitt 109G-14 kit
and provides a new nose, exhausts, prop, wheels, wheel fairings, headrest and
canopy. All parts are cleanly cast with very little flash and no air bubbles.
Shapes look good from initial checks I've made and should result in a really
different look with minimal conversion work - personally I find the subject
very appealing!
The
only downside I could find, apart from lack of instructions, was the finish on
the vac formed canopy which lacks clarity - I may be tempted to mould a new
one using the conversion supplied ones as patterns.
Arba
inform us that a decal sheet will be available in the near future featuring
Czech and Israeli markings - I can't wait! :o)
