My name is Claus Gustafsen, I've
rediscovered modelling again when I met other grown up people who modelled.
I took up 1:32 scale as my scale and decided on the period I liked the best.
Middle thirties with the colours of the late biplanes, the peashooters and
the like, and walking all the way to the "early" jets, mainly
keeping to the second world war.
I like to build more than one plane at
the time and often have two identical kits on the bench at the same time,
doing one mainly out of the box, with a few additions like hypodermic
needles for gun and pitot tubes etc. Maybe new paint scheme and decals,
while I like to do something else with the other one, like converting a
Curtiss P-40E to a longtail P-40F. Making a match of an old Revell Seafire
Mk Ib and a Matchbox wreck of a Spitfire Mk 24 to end up with a Spitfire Mk
XII.
When I'm not modelling or tending our
aquariums, I also have to make a living, that I do as a Master Chief in the
Royal Danish Navy.
Here's a few pictures of my work.
